Refunds and Transfer Credits

 


REFUND POLICY: CANCELLATIONS

It is the student's responsibility to read the course description posted online to detemine if a class is sutiable for him/her. Please choose carefully to avoid cancellations.

Cancellations occurring at least 48 hours before the class starts will be for the full tuition amount plus any related materials fee less a $10 cancellation processing fee.

Cancellations with less than 48 hours (2 business days) notice before the class will be for the full tuition amount less a $10 cancellation processing fee. Materials fees are non-refundable with cancellations occurring less that 48 hours (2 business days) prior to the start date of the course.

Cancellations must be made by telephone to the Student Services Office at 617-267-4430.

Any cancellations within 24 hours before a class will result in a course credit for the amount of the class, less any materials fees and a $10 processing fee. The credit is valid for one year from date of issue.

If after the first meeting of class, a student has a conflict or finds the class unsuitable for them, a written request of a transfer, refund or course credit must be submitted to the Student Services Office with supporting documentation (ie airline itinerary for last minute business trips). The BCAE reserves the right to cancel any class for low enrollment or any other reason. Please call the Student Services office at 617-267-4430 if you would like to confirm if a class is running, or that you are registered for a class as we do not send confirmations.

Off-site courses are non-refundable and no discounts or transfer credits apply.

Refunds are not applicable to course location changes within other BCAE locations, including 5 Commonwealth Avenue and The Commonwealth School.

REFUND POLICY: TRANSFER CREDITS

A transfer into another class occurring within the same term of the requested withdrawal (ie transferring from Spanish I to Spanish II) must be made no later than one business day after the start of the class the student is withdrawing from. They may transfer into another BCAE class (space permitting). Students are responsible for paying any difference in tuition and additional materials fees.

If a course is cancelled by the BCAE, we will automatically grant you course credit for the full tuition including any materials fees. If you would like the tuition and materials fees refunded to you by check or by credit card, you must call the Student Services office at 617-267-4430 to request that be done.

REFUND POLICY: GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are non-refundable if lost or stolen and can not be redeemed for cash. If you register for a course using a gift certificate and subsequently have to withdraw, no cash, check, or credit card refund will be issued. A course credit in the amount of the gift certificate will be applied to the student’s account and that credit is valid for one year.
